"If These Walls Could Talk" … This is a new version of an old favorite that I first posted back in June of 2017. There were a few things about the original that have been bugging me … apparently for 7 years 🙄 … and today, for some reason, I decided to try to fix them. The bad thing is, there are several important real-life things I should have been doing today instead of this. But oh well. One must strike while the iron is hot … or while inspiration hits … or the muse sings … or whatever … right??

This is a beautiful home that I found while wandering around #Antietam #Battlefield … of our #CivilWar … one afternoon. I don't think it's actually a part of the park? Maybe someone knows more and can correct me. If memory serves (it rarely does) I think it's very near the bridge at Little Antietam Creek. I have a feeling the home and farm were probably in existence during the battle … those glorious warm stones and the architectural style just seem to fit the era.
