The more I look into private and secure email the more I get slightly overwhelmed with information. There are many options. Before I take the plunge into completely moving my email and going through that hassle I thought it would see if anyone have experience with @protonmail, @fastmail #Skiff #Tunanota or any others.

@paulhulford I switched to Fastmail last year for both private and business accounts and haven't looked back.
When I had some issues with receiving mail, support immediately helped me and even sent me related mail server logs so I could see for myself where the issue was. Try getting that level of support from Google.
App works great, new actual quality of life features are constantly added, and I'm just happy. 10/10 would recommend.
