"The Cult Classic that inspired Dracula" and that I, until recently, knew nothing about. But I discovered that this novella is well worth the read. In my opinion, it is in many regards better than the later work of Bram Stroker - who may not only have been inspired by the book, but who seems to have written a male-centred, hetero fanfic version of Carmilla.
