@rasterweb I had the same experience with Anytype (and pretty much every other app that promotes itself as your "second brain" - Obsidian, Logseq, etc.). All of these force you to think too much of how to organize your notes, rather than simply write them down.
As a result, I've ended up using a dual system, where Bear serves as something like my quick note cache, and would eventually refine and move sticking notes over to a git-backed Obsidian instance (deep archive).

@preslavrachev @rasterweb I use Logseq fine without thinking about organization. In fact, that's why I like it. Everything goes in the journal. I can organize it out of the journal later if I need to and no worries if I don't. Most of the stuff stays in the journal actually, and I'll just add tags if I'm reviewing and decide it's needed. Eventually I setup some templates for common notes (e.g., meetings, research articles), and I can use a page with queries to "organize" or gather them.
@xarielml @preslavrachev Hmm, I had not heard of Logseq… I’ll give that a look as well.
But you bring up the point of how you use a specific tool is definitely a huge part of how well it will work for you.
@xarielml @rasterweb Yeah, I did that too: https://preslav.me/2022/11/15/how-logseq-introduces-event-sourcing-to-note-taking/
Still, I found a little too much friction for when I simply wanted to write a messy, disorganized thought down and picki it up later.
@rasterweb @xarielml If you are entering the Logseq world just now, I think you shoud rather skip going through the desktop app, as it will be replaced by a DB-enabled (SQLite) V2 sometime soon. The V2 is a massive upgrade, and you can give it a try here: https://logseq-db-demo.pages.dev
However, it is still a demo, so you will have to manually sync and back up your DB.
