Interesting: Strongly positive review of an audio accessory that removes the click-and-pop from vinyl playback, with useful sidelight thoughts about playing LPs in general: https://www.audiophilia.com/reviews/2024/11/11/the-sweetvinyl-sugarcube-sc-1-mini

I know cables aren't supposed to make a difference and coathangers can conduct electricity just as well, but.......
Why do Canare 4s11 speaker cables sound so damn GOOD!?
Here I thought my TV system's Yamaha A-S501 amp was this harsh flat sounding thing, but with these wires that shouldn't change a thing, that just goes away entirely.
WTF am I supposed to take from this? I don't know.
Heya music nerds, got a question for ya What's the primary way you listen to music?

WashPost: He spent his life building a $1 million stereo. The real cost was unfathomable.
A long story about Ken Fritz in Richmond VA and his lifelong obsessive hobby to build the perfect stereo system. The comments on the article are worthwhile, too: they're divided between admiration for his focus and drive, dislike of how he treated his family in the process (disinheriting one son!), and remembering their commenter's own audio history.
I enjoyed this story because I find audiophiles funny: so much effort, time, and money spent chasing tiny subjective improvements and superstitious ideas about sound and electronics!
